A frontal attack is seen when a company attacks another based on the strength of the competitor. It is a strategy in marketing that focuses on a challenger taking on the market leader head-on. This was inspired from war tactics only.
When Ravana got the information from demons that the city had been surrounded by Rama with his monkeys, Ravana exhibited his anger, made double arrangements for the war, and ascended his mansion. Ravana gazed at Rama and his troops of monkeys.
Full of delight, Rama passed forward along with his army. He found Lanka guarded on all sides with demons. Rama issued a command to the monkeys to destroy the enemies with immediate effect. Hearing this, the monkeys, vying with one another, filled the air with their roar, lifted up mountains, rocks, and trees, and marched towards the city of Lanka, starting to demolish their defensive walls.

The battalion of Ravana rushed forth out of the ocean to defend Rama and his army. The combat between demons and monkeys resulted in streams of blood in the battlefield.
Knowing the strength of Ravana’s battalion, what Sri Rama took was a frontal attack. With whatever capabilities and resources they had, they directly attacked the competitor’s strength. Both Ravana’s army as well as Rama’s were strong enough to counterattack each other.
