An attempt made to write something daily during the lock down

market of clay pots

Today Paddle, the business consulting firm where i work, shared a tip named DOTS (Do One Thing Sure) during this 21 days challenge.

I decided to reactivate my blog from today but i thought a lot on what to write. The word DOTS striked me and i started to think about that small round mark or a spot that we call the 'DOT'.

But I wondered what all can that small thing do to big matters in the world like the tiny corona the so called COVID did to the entire world in 2019 calling it a pandemic.

Let's forget the virus for a while and try to understand the applicability of this dot. I started writing about it and here it goes. It can change the meaning of several things.

* Like for example we write 50, the value diminishes to near null when you put a dot in front. It becomes (.50) what we call it the decimal

* Draw a small vertical line, a dot on top of it you called it (i) alphabet i or small numeral 1.

* Try putting that dot below, it becomes (!) an exclamation. Imagine where all does an exclamation at the end of a statement takes you. It's about surprises and excitement.

* A dot on top of a curved letter make it the alphabet ( j )

* A dot under a curved letter makes it the biggest challenge, the so called ( ? ) question mark

* Put two dots above and below a dash mark, you call it division (÷)

* Two dots together we call it colon (:)

* A dot on top of a comma, we call it semi colon (;)

* Put a dot at the end of a statement we call it a complete sentence or it shows the end of a phrase

* It is letter A we learned to write first, A for Apple, but how? joining a set of dots (any shape is possible with dots, that is joined together to form a meaningful object)

* A dot is used to make an understanding of short usages like (Pvt. Ltd.) for Private Limited

* Will you be able to draw a circle without putting a dot at the middle, never. It is the center point.

* Put two dots on both sides of a line, it becomes a line segment which has a definite measurement

* Dots were seen on condoms as well to add more pleasure. What an idea.

* The best usage of dot is seen in web space (.com, .in, .co.in, .edu, .gov etc. etc. ) the world itself is managed by this small " . "

* Dot Matrix printers are still used, it will not leave even machines

* Mathematics got a formula called dot product (A • B)

* Dot is used in chemistry to combine two molecules

* In computer science it is the smallest identifiable part of an image

* In 1994, WHO introduced a new strategy called DOTS for the world wide control of TB, it means Directly Observed Treatment Short-course

* And finally the size of a dot is 6.35mm x 6.35mm.

Imagine if the smallest identifiable part can do this wonders, what big big things can we do

Utilize the 21 days to rethink what we can do during the lock down that will help us to face the world when the lock opens.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

I created this blog as a space to share simple yet powerful ideas that can make a meaningful difference in our everyday lives.

Fueled by a passion for sharing insights from my rich reservoir of knowledge, I believe that knowledge grows when it’s shared.

Through my blogs and articles, I aim to double the value of what I’ve learned by passing it on to others.

Whenever I come across a meaningful realization or a thought-provoking idea, I feel compelled to share it. My writings are intended for entrepreneurs, students, management enthusiasts, and anyone curious about how management theories and principles can be practically and effectively applied to both life and work — presented in a simplified and relatable manner.
