This news really brought about a sign of humanity during disaster. The empathetic behavior shown by Police Officers at few places in Kochi towards stray dogs by feeding them with biscuits.

Usually it is animals and birds who get affected the most during a disaster. They are ignored. Humans get relief packages offered by Government to make up their essential needs. People below poverty line are assured ration. Those who are at luxury living spaces get home delivery of groceries from lulu hypermarket or from other retail chain outlets.
Families have stored enough inventory at home to keep them healthy during lockdown but imagine what animals would do. They survive on wastes thrown out from restaurants, garbage bins and feed on food remains left by human beings. Now a days, no hotels, no food waste, people are not seen on the roads.
The covid 19 lock down had locked the wandering dogs and other living creatures from identifying their source of food. They are freely walking on the roads, no lock down restrictions but is unable find food to keep themselves away from hunger.
This news anyway captured my attention on the status of stray dogs during covid 19 lock down
Police officers who took initiative to take care of them are well appreciated in this aspect.
